For over a century both the YMCA and the YWCA have been transforming lives in Spokane. Building on our rich history, we are now investing in Spokane’s future by creating a collaboration that will be the first of its kind in the nation. We are implementing a powerful strategy of co-location and programmatic collaboration that leverages the strengths and visions of both organizations. The collaboration creates an unparalleled network of facilities, opportunities and services that build healthy opportunities for everyone. Our $40.5 million capital campaign will enable us to build an 80,000 sq. ft. Central facility at 930 N. Monroe and a 52,000 sq. ft. North facility on 16 acres of land located at 10727 N. Newport Highway. By working together the Y's can avoid duplication of services, achieve significant cost savings, maximize operational efficiencies, and build and expand powerful program synergies. |
