This collaboration will empower 10,000 more teens by providing two innovative teen centers and giving them the opportunity to develop programs that will extend beyond athletics to include the arts, technology, volunteerism and leadership.

The Your Y Campaign will:

• Provide Spokane parents peace of mind knowing their children and teens are in a safe, enriching environment where they can pursue individual interests while having fun.

• Increase the number of developmental assets for all teen participants by emphasizing positive behaviors and protecting youth from at-risk behaviors resulting in crime, drug use and teen pregnancy. Key asset areas the YM/YW emphasize: safe places, relationships with caring adults and opportunities for productive activities.

The Search Institute® has identified the building blocks of healthy development - known as Developmental Assets® - that help young people grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. Click here to read their findings.

Teen centers at both new facilities will offer a variety of activities which will expose youth to values and support systems that will expand the current assets of Spokane youth from an average of 18 developmental assets to 31 or more. Read more here.
