Ways to Give

Making a charitable gift is an important and personal decision. The following information may be helpful as you consider various ways to support the YMCA/YWCA Capital Campaign.

DONATE NOW
Your support is important now. The final ingredient of this campaign is you, the community. We need your help to cross the finish line!

Online To make a secure online donation by credit card, please click here. Or if you prefer, pay online with your Paypal account.

Through the Mail For a printable donation form that you can mail in with your check, money order or credit card gift, please click here (form will open in new window).

Over the Phone You can make your gift over the phone Monday through Friday by calling our office between the hours of 8:00 – 5:00 at 509.838.3577, ext. 124.

PLEDGES
To increase your contribution to the YMCA/YWCA Capital Campaign, you may make a pledge now and spread payment of your gift over time – up to five years.

APPRECIATED STOCKS, BONDS, OR PROPERTY
An alternative to cash is a gift of appreciated property, such as securities. In most situations, the full fair market value of gifts of appreciated assets is deductible. Additionally, taxes on capital gains are often avoided. Consult with your financial and tax advisors for advice on maximizing and finalizing your campaign gift plans. Account transfer form available on request.

MATCHING GIFT PROGRAMS
Many corporations and foundations offer matching programs. Such programs may allow donors to double or triple the amount of their contribution. Matching gift forms are available from company personnel or human resource offices.

PLANNED OR DEFERRED GIVING
Charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities are income plans that allow the donor to make a gift while retaining the income for his or her lifetime (or a term of years) or for the lifetime of a named beneficiary. These methods of gifting should be discussed with personal financial and tax advisors.

BEQUESTS
A gift of cash or property made through a will or living trust ensures a tradition of giving that will continue after the donor’s lifetime.

NAMING OPPORTUNITIES

Donor Recognition
All gifts will be recognized. Every donor will be listed in the YMCA/YWCA Capital Campaign Honor Roll published throughout the campaign. In addition, we will establish appropriate and meaningful ways to acknowledge all donors at both project sites. Gifts can be made in memory of a loved one and will be recognized as such. Donor wishes to remain anonymous will be respected.

Naming Opportunities
This campaign will be a lasting legacy for our community. Permanent naming opportunities are available at many gift levels from $50,000 to $5,000,000 at both project locations. Contact Trish McFarland for a complete list of opportunities still available.
